‘Just really good recipes’ chronicles recipes of food I prepare for my family and friends. I am sharing all the good stuff. All the recipes can be recreated confidently by anyone, of any culinary skill level willing to give it a go.

My name is Sheryl O’Connell, I am the author of this Substack handle - Just really good recipes.
The recipes and photos in this newsletter are of actual dishes I make that have garnered unanimous thumbs up from family and friends.
Expect weekly (often two) recipe postings. I will also share occasional non-food related photos, and thoughts (more often than not) focusing on my resident furry four legged friends.
Some recipes are from different parts of the globe, and some are just everyday fare using everyday ingredients. Gorgeous food and flavours inspired by kitchens from around the world. The recipes and food I post are inspired, and adapted from some of my favourite chefs and also, good friends that are brilliant home cooks.
